This is a welcome week intended to facilitate students’ adaptation and integration. We allow students to get to know each other and all the educational agents involved in the EDEM’s immersion program.
Individual attention regarding any issues related to academic orientation and problems that may arise: classes, teachers, study techniques, etc. and resources to facilitate academic performance.
PERSONALISED PSYCHOLOGICAL ATTENTION
A confidential counseling service for all EDEM students. It offers guidance and counseling on psychological and personal issues, as well as the psychological work that must be started to solve or overcome a conflict, and manage anxiety, or any other type of problem.
WHAT YOU CAN ASK:
- Psychological issues that provoke anxiety, depression or self-doubt, in both the academic and personal spheres.
- Issues and problems related to studies (strategies for improving academic performance, acquiring good habits, planning and organizing one’s studies).
- The improvement of self-esteem and motivation, and the acquisition of decision-making strategies.
ENCOURAGING AND FOMENTING AN ENTREPRENEURIAL ATTITUDE
At the Lisbon European Council Spain took on a commitment to promote entrepreneurship in its education system. The entrepreneurial spirit is included in the principles and purposes of the educational system as a core competence that students should acquire. Our commitment is to the development of that mindset in EDEM students, in a more intensive and specific way. The Orientation department, aligned with this option, will promote and provide all kinds of tools designed to promote entrepreneurship.
WHO IS IN CHARGE OF THE ORIENTATION DEPARTMENT?
The counselors in a Psychopedagogical Counseling Service are professionals specialized in Clinical Psychology and trained in Pedagogy. Adela Torres Esplá is a psychologist and coach, with training in pedagogical issues and experience orienting, advising, and providing psychological support.
